Tentatively, the second painting in the BEAUTIFUL LOSERS series. I wanted to paint Medusa in her element...the dim, torchlit halls of her domain. As a child, I was fascinated by the story of Medusa, and the equally compelling depiction of her by legendary special effects master Ray Harryhausen in the film CLASH OF THE TITANS. Even as a child, I realized how much of a tragedy her story was. Think of all that happenned to her, and none of it was her fault. None of it was in her control. She was the complete 'victim',
